Crust- The crust is the thinnest layer of the Earth and is from 0-50 km deep. The crust is not one whole rather it’s separated into different pieces called the plates. The earth’s crust is also the lightest layer, it’s rocky and rigid.
Mantle- The mantle of the Earth is the largest and the layer that takes up most of the space-2900 km deep. The mantle is mostly made up of magma and molten rocks because of the heat given off by the core.
Core- The core is the hottest, second biggest and inner most layer of the earth. It mainly consists of solid iron and nickel. The heat in the core is what causes the mantle to be in fluid form. The core is really hot heating up from 3500 C to more than 6000 C
Compare-
The similarities of the three types of layers are-
The three layers help to support the structure of the Earth.
The mantle and the core are really hot and the two biggest layers.
Both the Mantle and crust are solid.
Contrast-
The difference is that the crust of the earth is made out of soil and rocks while the mantle consists of lava and molten rocks, finally the core is made up of solid iron and nickel. All the layers are made up of different natural materials.
They are all planets, they orbit the sun, they are all in our solar system, and people have not visited any of them, and they have an core, outer core mantle lithosphere and crust, orbits around stars, made of matter and more
Similarities- The Mantle and the core are both solid and molten. The upper mantle is made of solid rock and the inner core is solid because of extreme pressure. The lower mantle and the outer core are both molten rock.
Differences- Temperatures
-mantle= upper mantle is 1000o C and the lower mantle is 2500
-core= outer core is 4000o C and the inner core is 5000-5700
the outer core is a molten metal that surrounds the inner core. In spite of enormous pressure, the outer core behaves like a thick liquid. The inner core is a dense ball ofsolid metal. In the inner core, extreme pressire squeezes the atoms of iron and nickel so much that they cannot spread out and become liquid.
They both have hot molten core in constant convection motion within.
Both are made of nickel-iron alloy and are at very high temperature and pressure.
i dont not know rate me 5 stars
They are both layers of the Earth comprised of rock....other than that, there are no similarities.
The are many They are all planets.Similarities between Earth and other planets. They all orbit the sun. They have an core, outer core, mantle, lithosphere, crust, orbits around stars, made of matter. They are all in our solar system.
its made of mantle and crust
a volcanic mountain is a cone shaped mountain formed when molten rocks erupts from a hole in the earths crust.
The lithosphere.
They are both layers of the Earth comprised of rock....other than that, there are no similarities.
There are a number of similarities between mantle and crust. They are both found below the surface of they earth and the main components in both are rocks.
The mantle is a layer of hot, solid rock beneath the crust and a core is the central part of Earth.
15 kilo meters is the distance between the crust and the mantle
It is between the Crust and the upper mantle
The chemical layer of the Earth known as the mantle lies between the crust and the core.
The Earth is made up thus: Inner core, outer core, mantle, crust. We live on the crust, with semi-plastic molten rock forming much of the mantle beneath us.
The upper mantle is in between the lower mantle and the earths crust Crust- the outer most solid shell of the earth. The Uppermost mantle and the earth's crust form the lithosphere.
a mantle is something between the crust
the mantle is the part under the crust made up of nickel and iron moving about causing volcanoes whereas the core is solid because it is so tightly packed the minerals and metals have very constricted movement. the mantle is also the largest part of the Earth. the core has 2 sections the inner core and outer core
The boundary between the crust and the upper mantle is called the Mohorovičić discontinuity, commonly known as the Moho.
area between the mantle and the core where hot rock is forced into the crust
