advantages- it breaks the barrier of time and cost. you reach a place very fast. people who work in office if the go to office at 6:00 so there is no problem as the metro runs from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm so don't worry.....

Underground metro system is having very high investment cost but the overall life cycle cost of underground metro system is very less and it has many advantages :

  1. Additional traffic capacities were provided for individual transport.
  2. Relief from traffic congestion was achieved.
  3. Time savings in transport were achieved.
  4. Noise levels were brought to acceptable levels pollution (esp. air pollution) was reduced.
  5. Architectural & Service quality of urban environment was improved.
  6. Safety and security in urban environment was improved.
  7. Operation and maintenance cost of underground system is very less because it is unaffected by bad weather conditions.
  8. Underground metro system is very useful in the cities which have dense population.
  9. Underground metro electrification system has less number of components and very simple design structures as compare to overhead electrification system
  10. Underground metro projects are easily funded by World Bank with very low interest rates at free of Custom Duty and because they reduce large amount of Co2 emission done by vehicles.
