When I got caught, I had to go to a class about shoplifting with a parent. I was in custody of the store until a parent got there, they notified my parent/guardian of this. I had to go to court and I had to pay the fine of how ever much I was trying to steal, I was banned from that store at any location into the U.S. I got a misdemeanor on my permanent record. This whole incident was very expensive, paying for the lawyer, the expenses at court, paying for the class, recovering everything i stole. This was only my first offense, and yes I was a minor.
