They are about people trying to cheat death. In all of the ones that I have seen, someone has a premonition and usually avoids the event that would have caused their death. Death comes for them in various ways usually presenting itself as an accident.
The Final Destination has an R rating in the US, 15 in UK and Ireland, and MA in Australia.
The second movie follows on from the first but 3 and 4 do not. They do contain references to the previous movies.
I am sure there are a number of movies in which this takes place. The first one that comes to mind is Final Destination 5.
I have never heard of anybody hating The Final Destination movies. Maybe some people hate it, because some of the stuff can really happen, but a lot of it is just way out there, and would most likely never be able to happen. I like movies that you know could happen in real life. That's much scarier than Nightmare on Elm Street and Final Destination. Movies about real events like "Bundy" or Son of Sam scare me more than Halloween and stuff like that.

You mean other than to show all the imaginative ways that people can be killed? The point is to say that you can't run away from your past because it will catch up to you. Everytime somebody thinks they have prevented death they have thrown of the balance of the world and that balance must be kept. You cannot run away from death because eventually we all die.

No, Robert Pattinson did not play in Final Destination. Pattinson starred in the Twilight series of movies. You may be thinking of Kerr Smith. He looks similar to Pattinson and played Carter Horton in the first Final Destination film.
