Director Chris Weitz trys to portray the different moods- how the mood changes from a blue tint to everything when Bella is in Edward's cold mysterious world, to Jacob's sunnier, brighter 'happier' world. The tint suddenly becomes yellower. Notice there is not as much rain in New Moon.
