They would be charged with assault. There is no difference in the laws for juvenile or adult offenders - - only in how they are treated in court.
If they were placed under STATE supervision, it would come under the supervision of the state department of corrections.
The court procedures and sentences given out are not as strict or as harsh as adult offenders.
If a juvenile is charged as an adult, the trial will be heard in Superior Court.Added: . . . otherwise most court systems have a separate track for juvenile offenders - Juvenile Court.

it depends on there age like if the were sixteen the maybe yes but otherwise no because the would by tiny compared to adult offenders
Youthful offenders who are under the age of 17 when they commit a crime, come under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court system. If a crime is committed after the age of 17, the offender will be considered an adult offender. Depending on the severity of the crime, some under the age of 17, may be tried as an adult.
Harold Marks has written: 'Community associations and adult education' 'Education for offenders: provision and needs'
they wanted to separate juveniles from adult offenders...... I feel that that answer is not entirely true the way it's worded. An Adult offender (defendant), has a Childrens Services of abuse, neglect etc.. decided in Juvenile Court before a Judge or Magistrate. For example a Jr6 hearing or disposition hearing. It is not only Juvenile offenders (ex: truancy, criminal activity under a 18 dependant on the crime and 17 dependant on the state) who are the defendents. therfore they are not seperating Juvenile from Adult offenders. I would like to hear more on this if any one will add with more knowledge
A crime is a crime no matter WHAT the age of the person committing it. The only difference between juvenile offenders and adult offenders, is in how they are handled by the court.
Each animals maturity differs.
The function of an adult animals lungs is to breathe!
