What is the sprue of an arrow nock?

The sprue of an arrow nock refers to the small protrusion or extension that forms part of the nock's design, typically located at the back end of the arrow. It is often used to aid in the manufacturing process, particularly in molding, ensuring the nock retains its shape and can be easily removed from the mold. The sprue can also contribute to the structural integrity of the nock, although it is usually trimmed off or designed to be inconspicuous in the final product.

How can you identify Indian arrowheads from the various tribes?

No, it is not possible to specify the tribe according to their arrowheads. Before contact with Europeans, all tribes used stone, bone, antler or wood for their arrowheads (wooden ones were carved in one piece with the shaft of the arrow), but shapes tended to be very similar across the entire continent. When traders brought ready-made metal arrowheads or thin sheets of metal for natives to cut to shape, they simply copied the earlier stone, bone or wooden shapes or took whatever heads were offered by the traders. Some of these were huge - up to 5.5 inches (14 centimeters) long. I have examined arrow points from the Crow, Blackfoot, Cheyenne and Lakota tribes and there is generally no difference between them. Stone points can sometimes be allocated to a particular area, based on the exact type of stone used, but this in itself is not an indicator of the tribe. A much clearer idea of the tribal origins of an arrow can be gained from its overall length, the timber used for the shaft, the length, shape and type of feathers used, the shape of the nock (the groove at the end for the bowstring), a ny hair or feather decoration applied and the painted ownership marks. For example, a 28.5 inch arrow with a shaft and head carved from split hickory, with two 4.5 inch straight-edged turkey feathers set into grooves in the shaft, very shallow nocks and a band of green or red paint around the fore-end (where the wooden point is carved) is definitely Powhatan, but Powhatan points varied considerably in shape and looked very much like those of other tribes. The link below takes you to an image of Crow arrowheads, which are identical to those of most other Plains tribes:

Who would win a fight between a jaguar and an anaconda?

a Jaguar.Hyenas are only agile and having the most powerful bite of all the mamals. However that won't help.the jaguar has twice as long fangs and large, retactable claws. There 's a lot of reports of jaguar killing crocodiles. The croc dominates in bite force in animal kingdom.Jaguar had a muscular body and no bodyfat.it can weight 120 kg and hyena 76kg.the hyena hasn't got chance, but maybe a leopard it might bethe victorius Sorry, but I think I hyena would have a very good chance against a jaguar. You're right, the jaguar is overall more powerful overall, but don't underestimate a hyenas bite. I've seen videos of single hyenas holding up pretty good againt a lioness, which are much bigger than jaguars. Also, jaguars are only found in the Americas, and crocs there are much smaller than ones found in Africa. A jaguar wouldn't stand a chance against a nile or salt water croc.
