No body of water surrounds northern India. Northern India is surrounded by the Himilayas. On the east, there is the Bay of Bengal and on the west, the Arabian Sea. To the south is the Indian Ocean.
A statutory body is a company or organization created by law, or statute, in order to regulate or carry out a public function. Examples of statutory bodies include the Airport Authority of India, the Food Corporation of India and the National Highway Authority of India.
The Red Sea is the body of water that separates India from Africa and Arabian peninsula. The Mandab Strait is also part of that body of water.
