Bank robbers who never killed aybody as far as i can remember Kid Curry (real name Harvey Logan) is the name of an actual outlaw (part of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch gang) who killed several lawmen and a couple of civilians. Cassidy used to represent the gang as not killing anyone, but it was totally untrue. There is some speculation about a Private Hannibal Hays (no 'e'), 1842-1916, being the inspiration for the HH in the series, but apart from the spelling difference, he is distinctly older and certainly not notorious in the same way as Curry.
