It was 14/4/1970.
The duration of They Came to Blow Up America is 1.22 hours.
No, it was the British.
Yes - but it will not blow up, but expand to engulf the first few planets, including Earth - but millions of years in the future.
The Lunar Module was, in itself, a spaceship. It was designed to land on the Moon, and then its upper portion would carry the astronauts back up to the Command Module, the main spaceship. During the Apollo 13 disaster, the astronauts had to use the LM as a lifeboat (still connected to the CM) to stay alive, and then use its engine to get them headed back to Earth. If it were not designed as a separate spacecraft, it would not have had, independently, the ability to do these things, as the CM disaster would have affected it too. Only its independence allowed it to act as a separate (but still connected) craft.
no never
The spaceship that exploded upon launch in 1986 was the Space Shuttle Challenger. It tragically resulted in the loss of all seven crew members, including Christa McAuliffe, who was set to be the first teacher in space.
No. Apollo 15 was a successful mission.
Apollo 8 did not blow up. Apollo 8 was the first manned spacecraft to orbit the moon. It returned to the Earth safely. Apollo 13 is the spacecraft that had an explosion while traveling to the moon.
Yes December 27 1968
Investigate to find out why the spaceship blew up, and make corrections to keep the next one from blowing up.
Apollo 13 did not blow up. An oxygen tank exploded on the spacecraft, causing damage that forced the mission to be aborted. The explosion occurred while the spacecraft was en route to the moon on April 13, 1970.
Yes the Apollo 13 spacecraft did explode as a oxygen cylinder exploded.
No, they won't.
That would be Apollo 13, but luckily nobody was killed. The only Apollo mission that ended up with a fatal explosion was Apollo 1, which set fire on the launchpad during a test exercise. Just an addition to my previous answer. . . it was the Challenger that blew up after take off due to a bad piece of rubber gasket called an O-ring. It was the freezing temperatures that day that caused the O-ring to fail, and cause a leak between the fire and the fuel tanks. Quick fact about Apollo 13 it was an oxygen tank that ruptured it didn't really blow up, but it did create a lot of problems.
she blew up
The Apollo mission with the main engine failure that prevented a moon landing was Apollo 13. The crew, led by Jim Lovell, successfully aborted the mission and returned safely to Earth in a dramatic and heroic effort.
Apolli 11 did not blow up (although subsequently, two space shuttles have). I should add that there was a serious accident on Apollo 13, but not to the extent of blowing up the rocket, and no one was killed.
