the size of the iceberg was so enormous that almost all experts in engeneering all agree that the force of a head on collision would have been so great the titanic would have sunk with in minits instead of 2 hours if it would have hit head on.

the force would have a rippling effect and would have traveled from the tip of the ship all across its bulkhead breaking rivets from bow to stern causing catostophic damage killing many more people then it did
