After the battle, Braddock expressed admiration for George Washington's leadership and capabilities. He recognized Washington's bravery and strategic insight during the conflict, which stood out amid the chaos of the battle. Braddock also acknowledged Washington's potential as a military leader, which would later contribute to Washington's rising prominence in American history. Overall, Braddock's reflections highlighted Washington's significant role in the early stages of the French and Indian War.
Braddock couldn't write or say anything; he died during the battle! *That was a trick question!
He was escorting a French diplomat and an Native American guide killed the diplomat. Because Washington was in charge he had to assume responsibility for the death. He signed papers admitting to the death ( they were in French and he couldn't read or write French. Washington didn't want to admit this since all gentlemen could read/write French).
Both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams fit this description.
Braddock couldn't write or say anything; he died during the battle! *That was a trick question!
I think if you were able to ask him this question he would say not knowing French. In his time an educationed man knew French and could read/write it. As a young British officer in the French and Indian war he has escorting the French ambassador and the man was killed by the Native American guide. Because he didn't know French he signed a document taking responsibility for the man's death. Washington was homeschooled and did have a basic education but it seems most of his life he felt insecure about his lack of education.
He has in French is "Il a..." Hope this helps :)
