None. Eighty-five kohanim were murdered by Do'eg (1 Samuel ch.22), not by David. When David had fibbed to Achimelech (1 Samuel ch.21), he was acting properly, since he was in danger from Saul and he told an untruth as a method of self-preservation.See also:More about King David
He couldn't walk in Saul's armor and with Saul's sword (Saul was quite tall, and David was still a young boy at the time). So he needed a) a weapon to use (because he couldn't use the sword) and b) preferably something with range (because he couldn't use the armor). So, since he had a sling, and was a pretty good shot with it from using it to scare predators away from the sheep.Answer:According to tradition, David was not a young boy (see 1 Samuel 16:18). He was in his twenties. Also, David did not kill the predators with his sling - he used his hands (1 Samuel 17:35). However, he was physically not a big man.To address the question, the chief reason that David took nothing but a slingshot was to show his complete trust in God. The death of Goliath was a miracle in which God took part no less than did David.
One of the creator's of the show, David Kohan, was inspired by a quote from Jewish theologian Marin Buber's I and Thou, "You need the will to pursue a relationship with God, and the grace to receive it." He had said that the quote describes two complimentary elements of faith, and David thought they would be great names in a story with two complementary people.

David was given the showbread to eat by Ahimelech, the priest at Nob. When David was fleeing from King Saul, he sought refuge and food at the sanctuary, and Ahimelech provided him with the consecrated bread, which was typically reserved for the priests. This event is recounted in the biblical accounts of 1 Samuel 21.
Look in 1 Samuel 21:8,9 David is fleeing from Saul & he goes to the city of Nob to speak to the priest Ahimelech. He says: Have you not here a spear or a sword at hand, For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me. Ahimelech gives him Goliath's sword that he had been keeping ever since David killed Goliath
