What did the crocadile eat in Peter Pan?

Hook and Peter knew each other before they got to Neverland. Hook, who was called jimmy by his friends on earth fell in love with Peter's mother. Peter's mother eventually met Peter's father and they got married and had a child. Hook always kept a watch with a picture of peters mother inside because in truth, he never really stopped loving her all all those years. After a battle with hook in Neverland, Peter demands to keep the watch to see and know what his mother looked like. Hook reached into his coat pocket and threw the locket in the ocean where the beast swallowed it. Peter then cut off Hook's hand and the croc ate it too. the watch symbolizes the coming of the croc, alarming hook to run, because the croc liked the taste of Hook's hand so much that it never stopped following him waiting to feast on the rest of him thanks to Peter.
