There are five Girl Guide/Girl Scout Associations in France. Each association's funding is based on donations and sponsors. Four of the associations are sponsored by religious organizations (Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, and Moslem/Muslim) and the fifth is approved by the French Ministry of Education and their groups meet in schools.
