In Book IV of The Odyssey it's clear that they both feel positively about Odysseus, Helen relates a story which shows his mastery of disguise and Menelaus says Odysseus was a close friend of his and he desperately wants to see him again (as Odysseus has been missing for 10 years), the story of the Trojan horse is also told, showing Odysseus' cunning and intellect.
