There are many brands of flip flops that won't fall apart right away, but it depends on your budget. Some choices are D&G Dolce & Gabbana Compressed Rubber Flip Flop, The North Face Base Camp Flip-Flops, and Old Navy Womens White New Flip-Flops. It is not illegal to drive wearing flip flops but it is not the safest footwear to drive with. The front of the flip flop can get caught on the gas or brake pedal and cause a dangerous situation. Even though it is illegal, I find it more comfortable and safer to just drive barefoot when I am wearing flip flops.

While flip flops are generally considered casual and may not provide adequate protection or hygiene, specific regulations can vary by establishment. Ultimately, it's up to the employer's policies and local health department regulations to determine if flip flops are permissible for bartenders in areas where food is served.
