It seems be very accurate (although you should not use the film as your only research if you are writing a term paper).
Veterans Gave it a Thumbs UpThe veterans of that invasion thought it did a very good job of depicting the occurrence of the invasion and combat in general. Another opinion:NO, the film is incredibly unrealistic. Yes, the cinematography is excellent BUT the story line itself is bordering on impossible. There is absolutely no chance that the American Army would risk the lives of 7 men, including a CAPTAIN and a PLATOON SERGEANT to rescue a PRIVATE. It simple did not happen and never would or will happen. Great movie though. It is a startling movie that has a great deal of historical basis behind it. Personally I like it but there is always the "What is Hollywood and what is similar to reality" question. That is not something I am qualified to answer.
So we can appreciate the time and peace we live in now. For us notto take this Life for granted amd to remeber those who fought for their and our freedom today. So we can make the most of hit and to educate us with History. To show us what they went through and what War is like. It might gives us an idea about wether who are curious about War and whther we,d like to go or not. Its made to show what happes in War,the honours and the horrors. It is made to show the bonding of Men and Men being brought close together and look out for one anoter. And i personally think its is Steven Speilberg showing off some Hollywood talent has well. That is the Central message of Saving Private Ryan.
You can look on sites such as: rottentomatoes.com or imdb.com for ratings.
