What do you do in lake valor after you beat the 6th gym leader in Pokemon platinum?

At lake Valor you can Battle Azelf. You can only battle him after catching Dialga or Palkia. In your case it would be Palkia since your using Pokemon Pearl. Azelf is at Lvl 50. It's easier if you use Dusk Balls since your in a cave. That's how I caught my Azelf, Uxie, Giratina and Heatran. I know this will work because I did the same thing. You need to use Surf to get to Azelf's cavern in the middle of Lake Valor.

in valor lakefront you can catch azelf use surf to the middle of the lake go into the cave after you catch dialga in spear pillar azelf will standing in the cave, talk to azelf and battle him.you must have lot of dust ball and ultra ball.he's super hard to catch ,so be patient.good luck!

This is not the real question. The question i am answering is get to the 8th gym.After you beat the 7th gym which is in snowpoint city go to the team galactic ware house in veilstone city and find the master ball.After you get the master ball go to mount coronet from heart home city and go right to the top and you will find the spear pillar and you will find Cyrus near the entrance to disortion world.Before you enter disortion world you will see palkia and dialga near Cyrus and then they will diserpear.Then you can enter disortion world where giratina is.Then all you have is catch or defeat giratina.I would rather save before I verse him because I rather catch him.And then just head to valor lake front and the man that was block the way to sunyshore city is gone. Then make your way to to sunyshore city which is where the 8th gym is.Then all you have to do head for the gym.
