Zim doesnt eat human food as you know. He eats food from IRK, such as snack bars. Johen Vasque, the creator if Invader ZIM said that in the episode 'ZIM eats waffles' (Season 2) the waffles GIR made were made from Irken ingrediants. ZIMs Pack on his back gives him all nutrients he needs to survive. This is showen on an unaired episode, that was to be created before ZIM was shut down, thanks to Nickelodean. If ZIMs Backpack is off for 10 minutes ZIM will die. This is what makes him invinible, and live for an extreamly long time.
So ZIM does not eat at dinner or lunch because he does not need to, ALthough he and other Irkens eat snack bars as showen in 'TAK the hideous new girl" where ZIM manages to wreck a vending machine on The Irken Invader Training Facility planet.
