Aurora sleeps in a bed with blue bedding. It is a four post bed that is draped in purple cloth. This bed is in the top tower of King Stefan's castle. King Stefan is Aurora's father. She was placed in this bed by the Three Good Fairies after she pricked her finger on a spindle wheel and fell into a deep sleep. She wakes up in this bed when Prince Phillip kisses her. For it is only love's first kiss that can wake the princess from her slumber. An interesting fact to note is that when Aurora awakes she has blue eyes. However her eyes are only blue in this scene. Throughout the rest of the movie she is shown with brown eyes. But because the image of her waking up is so popular, she is often depicted with blue eyes in merchandise.
