I'll sell you one for $375
The only machines that you can purchase are used machines and refurbished machines without a factory warranty. Only the earliest PS3 with 4 USB ports were able to play PS2 games and they are all over 3 years old. Only the very First 20GB CECHB and 60 GB CECHA models had both the hardware and software needed for the best results and they were first released in November 2006. The machines that were released in 2007 were Partially software-based PS2 emulation and include the 60GB CECHC released March 2007 and the 80 GB CECHE released in August 2007.
When buying used equipment it is all about condition and the marketplace as many are sold on Ebay auctions to the highest bidder. I have seen 60 GB model CECHA in excellent condition and without some of the software updates that can also limit it's capabilities go for over $500. GameStop sells a 60GB refurbished PS3 with 4 USB ports for 349.99 and 299.99 for a 80 GB PS3 with 4 USB ports.
No they discs are they same size, but they are Blu-Ray discs and can not be read by the PS2.
No you can not get a chip, the PS2 could not read PS3 blue-Ray game discs and could not play them if it could read them. A PS3 is the only game console that can play PS3 games.
No it is not Possible. PS3s are Blue ray discs and PS2 are DVDs but that does not matter even the developer must rewrite the software to use it on a different platform. Games are software designed exclusive for a platform. Game systems consoles that play more than one type of software or game version were developed to also play the other earlier platform
No the PS2 can not play a PS3 game they are only the same size they are as different as a CD and DVD and that is just the disc. The PS2 can not run the PS3 games programs and lacks the hardware to do what the programs are telling it to do
If you have a older model of the PS3, yes. If you have a newer model, no. If was too expensive for Sony to have PS3s compatible with PS2 discs.
No the PS2 does not play PS3 games that are on Blue Ray Discs and can only be played n the PS3
No the PS2 can not play Blue Ray Discs
No they discs are they same size, but they are Blu-Ray discs and can not be read by the PS2.
You do not because the PS3 replaced the PS2 with better technology and the games are on Blu-ray discs. Even if your PS2 could read the discs it could not play the games
No the PS2 can not read the PS3 Game Discs
No
The PS2 plays games on discs and burnt games do not work with a the PS2
No the PS2 has a DVD Player not a Blue Ray Disc Player
All PS2 game discs fit but do not play. The PS3 can play Blue Ray CDs and DVDs and they are all the same size discs
No you can not. You need a Playstation 2 to play PS2 game Discs not a DVD player or a PC with a DVD drive and no emulator and PS2 bios
no PS3 games are on Blu-Ray Discs that the PS2 does not read
No PS3 games are on Blu-Ray Discs that can't be read by PS2
