In the 4th twilight book, Bella thinks that Jake had imprinted on Renesmee, He did but imprint means to protect that person or thing, they love it, This doesnt mean thay have to marry that person. But Jake loves Renesmee in a non-desgusting way. He only told the pack he imprinted on her though so they can not harm her. A wolf can not harm another brother or sister and if Jake loved her so much they could not hurt her or her family, they were all now family.

Imprinting in the Twilight Books means basically live for that person. The pack will do anything to keep them protected. They *could* fall in love at later age- but that doesn't always happen.

What does the title new moon mean in The Twilight Saga?

Do you know how when it's a New Moon in real life the sun doesn't reflect on the moon so you can't see the moon and it's really dark at night? Well that's what they mean as New Moon as the title. They mean it's a dark time because Edward left Bella. Get it? Because when the moon's face is a New Moon, it's dark! It all makes sense when you really think about it.
