No Money is never put on a PS3. It is put into your master account for the Playstation Network. You can do this from any PS3 after you have signed into your Playstation Network account. Just make your own user account on your brother's PS3 and then make your own PSN ID name and whenever you log into YOUR user account, your PSN name/ID will be logged in also. This way you can have your own password, data, etc. without having to use your brother's PSN account.

Scroll accross to the PSN icon on the homepage. Click forget account and then go back accross to update then allow update. When the update is complete go accross to the PSN icon again. Click on Create a new account.
