It has caused much controversy throughout the years it has been published. I did not enjoy nor like the book because I did not see a goal or a point to any of it. I did not see a change in any of the characters as they all remained static. There, overall, was absolutely no point or goal to the book for the main characters, but rather, only a point for the author to show the Holocaust in a witty and innocent way and to convey the thoughts of the events taking place during the Holocaust through the eyes of an innocent, the main character Bruno.
