What are curves called that have two peaks?

In statistics, a distribution curve that has two peaks is referred to as bimodal.

What does it mean to have two widow peaks?

Whatdoes the word chord mean in math?

It is a straight line joining two different points on a curve which does not cross the curve between those two points.

The distance between one peak and the next in a wave?

If you mean between two positive, or two negative, peaks of an electrical wave, it's the wavelength. If it's a pressure wave, "peak" is usually taken to mean "maximum pressure", so it would be between "peaks".

Is considerably skewed distribution the same as bimodal distribution?

No. A distribution may be non-skewed and bimodal or skewed and bimodal. Bimodal means that the distribution has two modes, or two local maxima on the curve. Visually, one can see two peaks on the distribution curve. Mixture problems (combination of two random variables with different modes) can produce bimodal curves. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bimodal_distribution A distribution is skewed when the mean and median are different values. A distribution is negatively skewed when the mean is less than the median and positively skewed if the mean is greater than the median. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skewness

What is mean by first order continuity curve?

The first order continuity curve is a term used in geometry to describe parametric first derivatives that are in proportion at the intersection on at least two successive sections of the curve.

What does in phase mean?

If you have two waves, or two things in oscillation or two things in vibration; if the peaks (maximum amplitude) and valleys (maximum amplitude the other way) occur at the same time then they are in phase. If one wave peaks at the same time the other one is in a valley they are said to be 180 degrees out of phase.

What are the two parameters that are necessary to determine probabilities for a particular normal distribution curve?

Mean and Standard Deviation

Why polyethylene has two Tg?

this is a loaded question. Why do you think there are two Tg's? are you just doing something like DSC? if so do you see two 'bumps'? this does not mean two Tg's, it means there are two thermodynamic transitions taking place. Most likely for PE this is a crystalization and a glass transition.
