What exactly is the apocalypse?

Anything could cause an apocalypse, but the main possble causes that people have been talking about would something revolving around diseases. Some sort of Pandemic wipes out 90% of the human population would be more realistic then the Hadron Collider creating a blackhole or giant tidal waves engulfing the planet. What ever the cause is, the human race will be pushed to extinction. Either killing only 20% of the population, but humans being able to stop the apocalypse or it completely demolishing the race leaving nothing but a empty planet. What ever the case is it won't be coming anytime soon, not even 2012. The Mayan's may have predicted the end of the world but they didn't know how advance we would be by 2012 possbibly being able to reverse the effect.

Apocalypse (if you're talking about the "end of the world") is the same as Armageddon. It is quite literally the end of the world. No one is sure if this is true or not. Apocalypse started when archeologists discovered that the stone calenders of the Aztecs went no further then 2012. So they decided that it must be the end of the word on 2012.

CHRISTIANS belive that apocalypse is when god comes and takes all the christians and he will take them to heaven.
