The doctor at the rehab center referred to Christopher Reeves by his real name not his character's name of Jason.
This is my absolute favorite Hitchcock film. Rear Window is the name of the movie.
Alfred Hitchcock
The conflict of the Hitchcock film, Rear Window, revolves around the main character, L.B Jeffries, witnessing strange events in the apartment across from his rear window, and trying to prove that a murder occurred there. The suspected resident, Thorwald, carries out suspicious activities and then suddenly his wife disappears. Since "Jeff" is confined to his wheelchair, he can only sit and observe, and rely on the help of his girlfriend, Lisa, and his nurse, Stella.
Rear Window (my personal favorite) is what is known as a 'carpet or rug' movie, meaning the vast majority of the film was filmed indoors. In fact it had one basic room, Jeffery's apartment. Although I'm not an expert on movie making I have heard that carpet films are hard to pull off. Hitchcock did it brilliantly, thanks in great part to the gifted actors Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly and Thelma Ritter.
Yes, Grace Kelly had a stunt double for certain scenes in "Rear Window." The double, named Jeanette Charles, performed some of the more physically demanding stunts, particularly in the scenes involving the window and the rooftop. However, Kelly's performance was largely her own, as she was deeply involved in the character's portrayal throughout the film.

At one point -- during the scene where he and Grace Kelly are having a fight -- his cast switches from the left leg to the right leg.

Definitely not. Rear Window (another Hitchcock film), for example, was made in 1954... 6 years before Psycho. The 39 Steps (yet another Hitchcock film) predates Rear Window by nearly a decade.
She doesn't say "vertical stick". She says "Vertigo schtick", a reference to the Alfred Hitchcock movie. She also mentions his film "Rear Window".
Hitchcock was the master of long takes. One of the longest was in The Rope. This film also falls into the category of a 'rug' film, meaning that the majority of the film took place inside, there were very few exterior scenes. Other long takes were in Vertigo, Marnie, Rear Window and The Birds, just to name a few.

To apply privacy window film effectively, first clean the window thoroughly. Measure and cut the film to fit the window, leaving a small overlap. Spray the window with water and apply the film, smoothing out any air bubbles with a squeegee. Trim any excess film and let it dry.
