I am writing a paper on a collection of sling stones my father collected 50 years ago in the Pacific Islands. Part of the collection are 250+ sling stones. These were weapons used by (written) prehistoric people of the islands. These sling stones are shaped like little footballs and when thrown by a sling can kill an enemy.
