What happend to Andrew in Waterloo road?

At the end of Series 2 Waterloo Road , Andrew left Rochdale to do some work in Rwanda.

His and Kim mutual love resulted in them both leaving Waterloo Road.

Kim returned half way through Series 4 and Andrew shortly after that for 2 episodes,

Waterloo Road's fundraising event for Rwanda to install solar panels to supply clean water to the village. Andrews return was prompted by Steph Haydock.

Later Kim and Andrew put aside their differences about the 'Grace' situation and indulged in a passionate embrace. Andrew presumably returned to Rwanda in his Head Teacher role.
