Yes, in the beginning of the movie, if i am not mistaken, it shows Ponyboy coming out of the theater and walking home when he starts getting followed by Socs and begins running. The Socs catch up with him and get out of the car and "jump" him. It also shows him getting cut. After he gets cut the rest of the gang arrives and runs them out of there. That scene is a bit confusing, but yes, it did show him getting jumped.
