Ira Gershwin (lyrics) and his brother George Gershwin (music) were nominated for Best Song "They Can't Take That Away From Me" from Shall We Dance (1937). I believe they're the first Oscar nominated brothers. Norma Shearerwas nominated 6 times for Best Actress. She won the first time she was nominated, in 1930. That same year her brother, Douglas Shearer, won his first of seven Oscars, for Sound in The Big House.

no the Oscar will eat it. i bought an albino clawed frog and my Oscar at it the frog was in the tank for ten min. I had a couple of the albino frogs in the tank with several large Oscars and a synadontis catfish for years. Needless to say when i got the Oscars the frogs were larger than them and unable to eat them so i think that helped a lot. One of the frogs did happen to get eaten by the catfish though when I was transproting them to my new apartment.

i have 2 Oscars at home and ive found that the bigger and older they gat, the less they want to eat. at a size of abt 27cm my male Oscar eats only once a fortnight on average. i feed him live goldfish and pink mice. also, your Oscar may not have enough room to exercise so he becomes sluggish. -(bigpunk418)- I have two Oscars at my house and they are huge and they love to eat all the time Oscars are usually very messy eaters, they like to splash water around and their also a decorative fish. But if your Oscars aren't eating then theres something wrong with them and you should ask a vet what to do. Sometimes that could be the result of changing the water they could go into shock and they won't eat but in about 10-20 minutes they'll be alright.
