What happened To Gerald Jackson on NCIS?

Ari came into a body bag that Ducky and Gerald thought was a dead man. Ari gave them a complete list of rules and one of them to always tell the truth. Abby was supposed to bring evidence down to Autopsy, but she had a night terror that made her scared of autopsy so Kate brought the evidence and said she was Abby so Gerald got shot in the ball socket of his shoulder.

A terrorist suspect, Ari Haswari, broke into autopsy and shot Gerald in the shoulder. Gerald left the show for physical therapy and eventually found a new job.Gerald left the show also because he was cau in mid fire

Gerald left after Ziva's brother Ari shot him in the shoulder while breaking out of NCIS once he broke in by way of a body bag. Gerald returns in an episode afterwards when Ari takes him hostage then calls Ducky and forces Ducky to trade himself for Gerald's safety & freedom.
