It depends what episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent you are talking about. There have been two episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent that have aired on April 6th. The first episode being "Legion" and the second episode being "Loyalty" (part two). To see what each episode was about please see related links.

The bad guy got caught.

Like classic Law and Order, the crime at first look is not what it seems and the detectives are led from one suspect to the next through twists and turns of plot and motives. The background is the glitzy world of Hollywood hanger on'ers, paparazzi, power brokers, and wanna be's. The courtroom portion brings out a bit more plot twists, brief doubt that the right suspect is on trial, and the desired conviction at the end. Well done, good script, good cast; as a die hard Law and Order fan, I wasn't disappointed. The first contributor may not have seen the program because the answer isn't correct in a technical sense, only as a generality.
