Like classic Law and Order, the crime at first look is not what it seems and the detectives are led from one suspect to the next through twists and turns of plot and motives. The background is the glitzy world of Hollywood hanger on'ers, paparazzi, power brokers, and wanna be's. The courtroom portion brings out a bit more plot twists, brief doubt that the right suspect is on trial, and the desired conviction at the end. Well done, good script, good cast; as a die hard Law and Order fan, I wasn't disappointed. The first contributor may not have seen the program because the answer isn't correct in a technical sense, only as a generality.
I think that they were played out of order. The series was missing for several weeks in the middle of the season, and when it returned, it was as if the last few episodes had never happened.
