It's funny, reading your question, because I have really wondered that too. but i don't know. sorry! you may be wasting your time reading this, but i dont think there is any reason they cut him off. i wish they didn't though. It was cool, Jim and Melinda having a ghost dog. but nothing happened with the shadows, he didn't cross over or anything. They just cut him off for no reason. Maybe he became a lost spirit, not shure. that's all i can do to help you! :)
