From the Discovery Channel Discussion Forum- Mike himself posted this:

"Nothing more than a scheduling problem. The Captains and I are still pals, and I wish I was in San Diego right now, hanging out and having a few laughs. Hopefully, Ben will have as much fun as I've had with the boys, and I wish 'em all well. Ironically, part of the conflict comes from having to narrate the show itself, which is currently in full production mode. As is Dirty Jobs, and a few other responsibilities that I can't seem to shake.

Not that I'm complaining..."

I am assuming it was really Mike who posted it. He is still doing the voice of the show. Sadly, the After the Catch portion will not be as watchable for me. Mike has been a deckhand on a crab boat (beyond a stint as part of his dirtiest job venture) and had an excellent repertoire and background with what its really like to be a seaman.
