What happened to Zero in the book Holes?

well after zero and Stanley go to find refuge on gods thumb, they break the curse that madam zeroni had put on the yelnats family, so when they went to find the treasure of coarse zero read what the name was and shocked the warden, also saving Stanley from getting accused from what he didnt do again... so in the end zero is a hero because he broke the curse and got Stanley his treasure!

Zero, using his share of the money that he and Stanley gained in the end, hired a team of private investigators to find his estranged mother. They did find her and, in the end, when everyone is gathered at the Yelnats house, she is there, with Zero, singing a slightly altered rendition of the "If Only" song.

Since the story is told in Stanley's perspective rather than Zero's, we don't have a full input on what was going through Zero's mind. However, two things that are obviously bothering Zero are his inability to read as well as the sneakers Stanley allegedly stole.

Zero, also known as Hector Zeroni, throws the sneakers towards Stanley which Zero stole from the Homeless shelter, then both Stanley and Zero got arrested (Zero first). That is why Zero starts talking to Stanley. Later Stanley teaches Zero English. Zero runs away after getting insulted by Mr Pendanski, then Stanley finds him after destroying the water truck. They survive on the God's thumb mountain! Finally they both become rich after finding the Treasure Chest where Stanley found KB's lipstick tube.
