Baby Farida now acts in TV serials. I saw her in a serial on Sony TV - some crime serial - where she plays head nurse in the Aruna Shanbag case covered. I was shocked to recognize her :) She is called Farida Dadi now.Answerbaby farida and farida jalal are two different individuals...

farida jalal also played as a child artist in her early days by the name baby farida in some films.

but the baby farida we are talking about the one in dosti,ram aur shyam etc. usually remained child artist.

when she was about to start her career as lead actress after 1969 she was withdrawn away from film line by her parents as they were reluctant in sending their daughter as lead actress.

she returned to movies in 1984 playing sidekick roles.

I was curious too and did a few research and found out that Baby Farida is actually Farida Jalal. She plays motherly roles now. She was Kajol's mom in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Shahrukh Khan's mom in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I hope this answers your question. :o)
