When the series ended after 14 seasons it was unknown that it would be the final season. There was never a finale filmed that would have tied up loose ends. In the real world, the actual location where the exteriors (and some interiors) for the show was filmed became somewhat of a tourist attraction at it's location near Truckee, CA. As a child I visited the ranch in Truckee after the last season, the horses were still in the corral.
