What happens after the 26 episode of fruit basket?

The anime of Fruits Basket only goes up to the 26th episode although the manga does in fact continue a bit further and holds a lot more detail than that which is within the anime series.

Right now, they are having a particularly hard time with the second season. Many of the voices of the characters were brought out of retirement, and are unwilling to come out again. They have been sending a petition around, though you'll have to look it up if you want to watch more. -_-

Well, that was a confusing question, but Fruits Basket ended a while ago, the anime AND the manga. The anime ended SEVERAL years ago, and is actually pretty old by now (not TOO old though) There is 26 episodes (one season) and they're not making another season. You can buy the full season on iTunes, OR you can watch it for free at animefreak.tv, English subbed or English dubbed.

The manga also ended, but more recently. The manga is actually much better than the anime, well in my opinion. Its by Natsuki Takaya and the anime was BASED off the manga. The anime, however, STOPS at Volume 6 of the manga. There are 23 volumes, and 136 chapters, (chapter 136 is the final chapter) The manga was AMAZING and went much further than the anime, I loved it :)

So the anime ended, as well as the manga. Natsuki Takaya also has made fan books (Fan Book: Cat and Fan Book: Banquet) , theres this planner, a sticker collection, special editions (manga), and some other things you can buy. There are also anime box sets, and DVDs you can buy too ^_^

No, a second season was not made for the Anime. However, the Fruits Basket series continues in the manga, which concludes at chapter 136!
