In 20 years, I've never seen a woman do that. They usually just go on and collect it. Over 30% of men currently paying child support is on children not theirs. see link
If you are their legal guardian, you can collect child support from both parents of the child. If you are not their legal guardian and they just live with you, you do not have rights to child support.
No. Support and visitation are separate issues.
Not if no order was in place.
The only way would be to do a personal agreement between the mother & father, ideally having it filed with the court. However, at any time, either parent can utilize Child Support without the other parent's consent. If the Mother spends more time with the child than the Father, she is most likely entitled to child support.
Yes he does. If he wants to see his child he needs to go to court to set up legal visitation and support of the child. If he refuse's to comply with the court on child support they could pronounce him the father and he would have to pay child support anyway. Most fathers are having DNA tests done in the hopes of getting out from under child support and it works if they are not the biological parent.
In general, a change in child support requires a change in income of at least 20%. Keep in mind that child support cannot be modified retroactively, so he still owes the unpaid amount from 2006.
It is to bad she should have consulted a lawyer and followed his advice, as she has signed the form stating she did not want any child support , and now she has a change of mind , she will have to talk with the husband and settle it.
If your boyfriend says that he wants to have a child but not with you, that just means that he's not ready for that type of a commintment, and if he says that if it happens then it happens that just means that he will be there for you. He will help you through it.
yes...there is no law against refusing child support.
If the court has awarded child support, then the good intentions of the father are irrelevant. Legally, child support must be paid.
You pay the support. She didn't have that child by herself.
So what?
I don't think they give child support for an adult. If your parents wants to support you great, but at 21 it is not a must.
Yes. see linksAns 2.The father has the option to waive his rights if he wants to, and if he can convince the judge that he is sane, sober and not under coercion as he does so.This has nothing at all to do with child support, which is not his right, but his responsibility. In general the mother can't waive child support either, because support is her child's right, not hers.THAT IS CORRECT.....unless the child's mother has re-married and her husband wants to adopt this child, that would release the biological father from paying child support.
A father is responsible for supporting his child whether or not he is in the child's life.

It is in the best interest of your child for you to pay child support. If the child is still living in Mexico and the mother has a court order, you need to pay support. If there is no court order, you are not legally obligated to pay support.
