What happens in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Chapter 1?

Aunt Em manages to get into the cellar, but Toto hides under a bed and Dorothy chases after him. During the beginning moments of the cyclone, Dorothy sits quietly on the floor while Toto runs about and ends up in the hole where the trap door is. He is held up by the strong air pressure. Dorothy retrieves him, closes the door, and both end up falling asleep on one of the beds.
