In the first episode he learns that he is from outer space, and from there he begins protecting his loved one's from "meteor freaks", people who have gain odd, kryptonite-induced powers. Throughout the series he comes to accept his role in the universe and become a hero to the entire world.

Smallville is a TV Show that aired on The WB and later on The CW and it centered around a young Clark Kent before he Superman, the show featured him growing up as well as attending Smallville High School and spending some time with his friends Pete Ross, Chloe Sullivan and his first crush Lana Lang, the first three seasons usually centered around a Kryptonite-infected human having powers that would cause them to go insane to the point of attempting to cause some destruction to either property or to people which would result in Clark Kent eventually saving the day and defeating the person.
