Freddy kills Nancy. Neil finds Freddy's remains and sprays holy water on them and Freddy dies before he can kill Kristen. At Nancy's funeral, the nun that helped them appears and leads Neil to her gravestone - Amanda Krueger, with her name in Christ - Sister Mary Helena. The nun was Freddy's mother.

Nancy dies!!!

Nancy does not die because she later stars in Wes Cravens " A New Nightmare." where she has a child of her own and where Kruger comes back to torment her and seek revenge.

Nacny says she's not afraid of freddy and turns her back on him which causes him to disappear. She opens a door to find her mom and friends are alive. She gets in the car with her friends but realizes somethings wrong. The car becomes possed and starts driving away as freddy kills the mom.

Well, the way I took it, Michael was dead the entire time. You saw that in the previous title. All through the movie it shows a character that looks like Myers, but if you've seen the first, you'd know this isn't him. The deaths are entirely too brutal for his taste in killing. Also, every hammering stab he takes, he grunts, which he didn't do before. So you go the whole movie. Da dada. And now to the end! This is the way I took it. Laurie was emotionally in shock from everything that had happened. Therefore, she developed split personalities. One was herself, the other, her brother. The end is showing that it was ACTUALLY Laurie doing the killing. This is similar to the recent My Bloody Valentine remake. Hope this helps.
