If Harry Potter told Lord Voldemort that Harry was a horcrux, then, pressumably, somebody else than Lord Voldemort would have had to destroy the horcrux in Harry Potter. As it is, neither Harry Potter nor Lord Voldemort knew it - it was a surprise for both of them.
