Robins egg blue was my favorite color. The other great color was yellow. I think it was called Texas Yellow? Anyway, My 1973 Super Beetle is that Texas yellow. It was my first car and I bought it 36 yrs ago and I still have it and it runs great! I love my bug!
"The yolk of the egg is yellow" is correct. "Yolk" is a singular noun, so it should be paired with the singular verb "is."
