The vast majority are of Italian and Spanish descendance, but there are large groups of Jewish, German, Polish and English decent. In its essence Argentina is a melting pot of races as there are some Indian-American roots, mixed with European decendance.

For example my granfather is Italian and my other granfather was of half spanish-half Indian decendance.

The best way to see Race is through Names most first names are either Spanish or English related, last names are usually of European.

Of the South American countries it is the one with most European decent per population. The race would also be latin if you want to be more broad but because our European roots we seem more caucasian than other latin Americans.

Common Argentinian names for todays youth:

Jose, Juan, Agustin, Martin, Mateo, Manuel.

Most Common Argentinian Surnames

Diaz, Gonzales, Garcia, Perez, Lopez.

There are also high class surnames that are very traditionally Argentinian.

Pelegrini, Quiroga, Pazos,
