What is the role of Charlotte at the Charlotte's web?

Charlotte is the spider. She cares for others. Charlotte makes plans and figures out a way to make the best of a situation. She tries her best to help others. Charlotte helps Wilbur with his troubles, and explains things. Near the end of the book, she has baby Spiders, and Wilbur (the pig and also the main character) has to find ways to care for Charlotte.

she saved Wilbur's life from being butchered. The old sheep told Wilbur he will be turned into smoked bacon and ham before cold weather sets in. Charlotte saves Wilbur by writing words into her web. first, she writes "Some Pig," then "Terrific," next she writes "Radiant" and her last word she writes, at the fairgrounds, "Humble" and then Wilbur is now a famous pig!
