Beth Fowler [b November 1, 1940] played Mrs Potts in the original Broadway version of 'Beauty and the Beast'. Performances were held at the Palace Theatre from April 18, 1994 until September 5, 1999. They then were held at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 16, 1999 until July 29, 2007. By the end of the run in both theaters, the play had held 46 previews and 5,464 performances. As a result, the play became known as the longest running production thus far in both Broadway theaters. It also became known as the sixth longest running production in all Broadway history.
