What is New Zealand clothing?

We Newzealandersers wear the cooliest clothes that you ever see!!! Nah just jokes. In Newzealand we wear pretty normal clothes except with fashion trends we are about a year behind so at the moment fluro just went out and footless tights are in.

"Suitably for the climate" is the short answer. Here in Wanaka where this a.m. there is a few degrees of frost (but now the sun is up will soon disappear; I'm well dressed with tweed trou, a woolen shirt and a woolen jersey.

But in the far north of the country the need for warm clothing is much less, and I imagine tee shirts and light weight clothing is today's garb.

In general, European styles of clothing are the norm, with local needs addressed as above. And of course, much of the clothing has that ubiquitous 'Made in China' label - but well addressed to the local market.

depends what age and profession. in shops today you mostly see retro style clothes the whole foot less tights look. teenagers mostly wear the same but add a "puffa" (large puffy goose down jacket) and anything from tiny mini shorts to skiny jeans. wedge high heels also seem to be a big hit with all age groups :-)

Classics include Jandals, Stubbies, Singlet, Swandri, Gumboots, T-Shirt, Jeans, we are a very casual bunch of people and shoes are not required to be worn....
